So sorry to hear that. I know cars are ‘just things’ and no-one was hurt (I assume) but even so, this kind of thing can drive you nuts. Hope the insurance people are cooperative!
So far State Farm has been helpful. I took the car to one of their recommended shops which means no separate adjuster appointment for me.
Note: After my motorcycle accident I found it very helpful to build a relationship with the actual state farm agent. Crazy as it seemed they got me more money for the wreck and paid the other claim faster. Don’t forget to add any “soiled garment” to the claim. They will pay it!

It beats having a cavity filled without Novocaine, I guess! But, yeah. I’m sill twitchy-fingered 4 hours later.
Looks like a strong enough hit that it could have screwed up your axle or suspension back there. Hope your insurance is good to you! Good luck!
Thanks… the body shop guys seemed thorough. They knew enough to say that they couldn’t give me an estimate until they took the car apart. The guy also told me and the insurance rep on the phone that the car was undrivable. That surprised me since I drove it to the shop.
