Mother took this photograph 40 years ago as the first man announced he was walking on the moon.
Kris Beagle had come over, and we’d put the table lamp on the floor to reduce the glare on the TV set as we listened to the live broadcast.
Mother could never center photographs, but at least she managed to get both of us in this picture (along with an ample amount of patio door!).
Au contraire, I think your mother was just probably a pioneer in photographic composition. The subjects looking out of the frame creates a visual tension, beguiling the viewer to contemplate the object of the attention.
Is that a cat?
Well before trifocals! Wish I could remember what I was doing during the landing!
