… but, I would like to create podcasts for my clients who can invest the time in creating regular content. And, I’d like to play with audio and maybe some video.
Yesterday I went to the Apple Store downtown for their demo in podcast creation using Garageband.
Damn.
The software they showed allowed for easy editing of audio, video clips, and photographs. The manipulation of the components was quick. The audio editor had built-in sounds for broadcasting (royalty-free background music, studio audience noises, and special effects).
Any non-professional editing programs I have seen for media creation on a PC have been clumsy and inadequate. Roxio is a lumbering, dim-witted pig. I assume that there may be special audio and video editing programs, but even wonder about that.
If anyone knows of a PC package that does what Garageband does on a Mac, I’d like to know about it. ‘casue after all these years, I don’t want to have to buy an Apple!
I totally second your wish for Garage Band on the PC! I don’t even know much about it, but the part I know makes it want it bad.
I love that the Apple store does demos.
