Lilliput’s Empress Norton ML “Audit” passed away in her sleep on the floor of her beloved kitchen last night. She had been in genteel declining health for several months, and her energy level had lowered noticeably in the past week. She was 16.
Audit spent her last evening sharing an honored spot on the TV room bed surrounded by other members of the Ozdachs pack. Her last meal was a handful of delicious chicken, and she died protected, loved, and cared for.
In her earlier days she was a refined show girl, winning championship points for Best of Opposite Sex in local contests. Giving up the life of runways and glamor, she settled down with her long-time companion, Lilliput’s Red Hot Syntax, to help raise Syntax’s offspring.
Audit is survived by Syntax, niece Array, heartbroken nephew Vector, and her sadden humans redozdachs and ozdachs.
In lieu of flowers, the human family requests you pay extra attention to your pets and maybe make a donation to a needy animal charity. The canine family says you can always send them chicken.
Sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry. I remember her when she was a puppy.
That’s a great photo of the two redheads.
I’m sorry. Extra scritches for my pets coming right up.
I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Clearly, she had a wonderful life with you all, and ended her life surrounded with love. That is all any of us can hope for.
I’ll make a donation to P.A.W.S. (Pets Are Wonderful Support), they do a wonderful job of bringing disabled people and pets together and helping people take care of their pets when they can’t anymore. Bharnie and I were both benefactors and beneficiaries of P.A.W.S.
Also, when I donate stuff I no longer need at Community Thrift, I name P.A.W.S. as the charity.
What a wonderful description. I’m really sorry to hear and I’m glad she was surrounded by the love of her family. We should all have it so well.
She was a beauty, alright. You were lucky to have such a great life with her. Best wishes through this for you both.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost Vanyel, my puppy, last year, so I can empathize. {{{hugs}}}
Sorry to hear about that.
Real sorry to hear of your loss. From the pictures, Audit appears to be a beautiful dog. I am sure she appreciated all the warmth and love her family gave her over her lifetime.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about Audit. It sounds like she had a wonderful, long, complete life.
I’m glad to hear that she was surrounded by her loved ones.
